Gord Courage

Executive Professional / GM

Born and raised Calgarian, now lives in Cochrane and is married to wife Michele with 3 boys and 3 granddaughters. Attended University of California and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Managerial Economics. Gord competed on the university golf team and also spent a year as the Head Golf coach in 1983 before retuning to Canada. In 1990, after 5 years of working for Pan Canadian Petroleum, Gord gave up his Oil & Gas career for a backpack and toured the world for 6 months. After returning he changed direction and became a CPGA Professional in 1991. He worked at Turner Valley & Silver Springs as an Assistant before moving to the Hamptons in 1995. Gord became the Head Pro in 2006 and in 2013 took on the role of GM and Executive Golf Pro.

In addition to his roles at the club Gord has enjoyed a long competitive career at both the professional and amateur levels. His major tournament victories including 1 Canadian PGA, 1 Alberta PGA, 3 Alberta Assistants PGA and 2 Alberta Senior PGA Championships. As an amateur he was on 2 Willingdon Cup Teams, one winning the National title.

Away from work, Gord enjoys playing basketball, volleyball, skiing occasionally and spending as much time with family as possible. The Hamptons is a special place to Gord and he is extremely proud to have been a part of the club for so many years.

Jeremy Tanner

Head Golf Professional

Jeremy was born and raised in High River. Following college in Lethbridge, where he studied Professional Golf Management, Jeremy had the pleasure of working at Priddis Greens for eight years. He left to become Head Professional at Speargrass Golf Course in 2015. After a season there, Jeremy, his wife Ashley, and their black lab Clementine, made the move to Edmonton where he returned to the private club environment as Head Professional at the Highlands Golf Club. After five years in Edmonton, they made the decision to move back to Calgary in 2021 to be closer to family and start their next chapter in life here at The Hamptons. 2022 was a special year as they welcomed their daughter, Lennon, to the world. Their beautiful family is certainly enjoying the toddler stage at home!

Sandy Sutherland

Accounting

Sandy loves to golf, albeit not well, but she loves it none the less. She also loves to travel, exploring the sights and sounds of new places. Recently, she was finally able to make her trip to Africa to see the “kitties”.

Sandy has worked at every Windmill Group course in several different positions. So, suffice to say she has a little knowledge in a lot of areas. Prior to joining the Windmill Group, she worked for TD Canada Trust for 20 years, honing the skills that would help her complete her professional Bookkeeping requirements. She’s always sporting a winning smile and willing to lend hand throughout the day. So if you see her through our Administration windows, be sure to wave and say hello!

Misha Davidson

VP of Food & Beverage

Misha Davidson was born and raised in Richmond Hill, Ontario. He graduated in Food and Beverage management from Fanshawe College in London. Summers during college were spent working in Hotels and Bars in Glasgow, Scotland. After his studies, Misha worked and managed in several private golf clubs in the Greater Toronto Area. Misha then headed East to PEI to work in public golf.

He later received an opportunity to move to Calgary, Alberta to work as a Director of Food and Beverage. Misha then spent time as a consultant in Halifax, before joining The Windmill Golf Group as Vice President of Food and Beverage. He has now been with the company for over 5 years, and spends his time jumping from club to club.

Dennis Ramirez

Executive Chef

Chef Dennis Ramos Ramirez was born and raised in Manilla, Philippines. He completed a Bachelor of Science in Commerce with a Major in Accounting. He then moved to Canada where he began his 25-year career in Culinary Arts. Dennis won a Gold for the Individual Plated 6-Course Meal Professional at Alberta Culinary Arts Salon hosted by the Calgary Academy of Chefs, and the World Association of Chefs and Cooks. Dennis is a member of the World Association of Chefs and Cooks Societies.

Dennis has now enjoyed seven years as Executive Chef, and member of The Hamptons Family. Away from work, Dennis has a beautiful family including his best friend…his dog Jazzy. Dennis loves to stay extremely fit, and thinks he can play a pretty mean game of basketball!

Darcy Matchullis

Course Superintendent

Born and raised in Calgary, Darcy has spent 40+ years working in the Golf industry; both in and around the city.

Darcy received his turfgrass management education from Pennsylvania State University (and is still a devoted Penn State football fan!).

Darcy has worked at 8 different Golf courses in his career, ranging from a 9-holer up to a 36-holer. The Hamptons is the 3rd golf course he has been the superintendent at.

Darcy likes to spend his holidays adding to his list of different golf courses that he has played. Right now he is up to 390, with his most recent new course being Gearhart Golf Links in Oregon. Darcy has been fortunate to play some of the world best courses including Pebble Beach, St. Andrews and Pine Valley.

Darcy is always in search of a good burger or sandwich. His ultimate find would be a really good, authentic Philly Cheesesteak.

Katie Fraser

Membership Manager

Katie is a born and raised Calgarian, devoted mother to her three energetic boys, dog Tucker and cat Willow. Katie came to the Hamptons to fill a one year Maternity leave. After experiencing what goes on within a private golf club she has decided to stay on permanently as our Membership Manager. Drawing from her extensive experience in dental sales, Katie has honed her skills in sales and client relations.

When’s she not in the office or managing the busy dynamics of family life, you can find her enjoying some time golfing, spending time in the mountains, travelling and working on her small interior design business.

Loreena Gaetz

Food and Beverage Manager

Born and raised in Calgary, Loreena Gaetz brings over five years of experience in the food and beverage industry to her role as Food and Beverage Manager. Passionate about creating exceptional experiences for guests, Loreena thrives in an environment where hospitality and community intersect. New to the golf world, Loreena is excited to immerse herself in the sport while bringing fresh energy and innovative ideas to the clubhouse experience.

Outside of work, Loreena enjoys spending time with her loyal companion, Diesel, and cherishes moments with family and friends. Whether traveling the world, exploring the outdoors, or unwinding on the family farm, Loreena embraces life’s simple joys and is committed to fostering a welcoming atmosphere for members and guests alike.

Ryan Fitzpatrick_1

Ryan Fitzpatrick

Assistant Professional

Originally from northern British Columbia, Ryan discovered his passion for sports at an early age, excelling in multiple disciplines. His love for golf began at just seven years old and has only deepened over the years. These experiences shaped Ryan’s belief in the power of sports and inspired his dedication to creating meaningful experiences for others through the game of golf.

Ryan’s professional journey began at the age of 13, working at golf courses until 19. He then transitioned into retail management, where he spent a decade honing his skills in customer service and product expertise. During this time, Ryan developed a deep passion for helping consumers find the right equipment to enhance their sporting experiences. After three successful years as the general manager of a multi-million-dollar sporting goods store, Ryan returned to his roots in the golf industry.

In June 2023, Ryan passed his Playing Ability Test, marking an important milestone in his professional golf career. Since then, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to growing the game at the grassroots level while fostering a positive and inclusive golf course culture.

Ryan is thrilled to be part of the Hamptons Golf Club Professional Team, where he continues to contribute to the club’s vibrant community. He looks forward to further developing his skills and learning from both the Hamptons team and its valued member.

Ken Stasiewich_1

Ken Stasiewich

Associate Professional

Born and raised in Edmonton, Ken started golfing and competing at the age of 12. He earned his Business Diploma at NAIT while also working for 5 years in the Edmonton golf industry. Ken and his wife Sherry made the move to Calgary in 1992 here he worked at Priddis Greens and became the Head Associate Professional in 2001. After 30 years at Priddis, he moved to Cottonwood as Senior Associate Professional and then Head Professional in 2024.

Ken was successful in winning numerous professional tournaments in his career including the Alberta Assistants’ Championship twice as well as the Edmonton Open Championship. He represented Alberta two times as part of the 4-Man Alberta Assistants team competing at the Canadian PGA Assistants’ Championship.

In 2000, Ken was elected to the Alberta PGA Assistants’ Board of Directors and in 2001 he became the Board’s President, representing over 300 Assistant Professionals. In recognition of his contributions and dedication to the association and golf industry, Ken was selected by his peers as the Alberta PGA Assistant Professional of the Year in 2001 and 2003.

His greatest pride and joy though, are his two sons, Brendan and Tanner, both of whom are involved in the golf industry and his 4-year-old Dachshund Sadie, is also very dear to his heart.

Ken is thrilled to join The Hamptons team and looks forward to meeting and getting to know the members and staff.
